The Joint Working Group on Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (JWG on HERI) provides strategic opportunities for education officials, academics, researchers, and innovators from Indonesia and France to build networks and explore as well as strengthen various collaborations in higher education, research, and innovation sectors for an advanced and sustainable future.

Since its first delivery in 2009, the JWG continues to facilitate information and policy exchange between higher education, research, and innovation institutions of both countries as well as showcasing best practice of their partnerships. With all good ideas coming through the JWG, every participant goes away with something useful.

On the 13th JWG on HERI between Indonesia and France this year, the forum is focusing on the big theme “Fostering Indonesia-French Higher Education, Research, and Innovation Partnerships for an Advanced and Sustainable Future”. The JWG will convene up to 300 participants in higher education, research, and innovation sectors in Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Surabaya State University) which is located in historical Indonesia’s City of Heroes, Surabaya.
